If it is Sunday, a day that half the restaurants in your city are closed, and someone calls you at 1:50 PM asking what time you'll be closing, and you tell them 3:00, and that person says "oh fantastic, thank you," you can rest assured that there's a very good possibility that they'll be patronizing your establishment before closing. Please make sure that when those same people show up at 2:10, you're actually still open.

Don't give up! I finally got there with the little lady this weekend, and the lunch (at least) was very pleasant.
